When interviewing a realtor, here are a few questions you should consider asking:

  •  Can we cancel the listing at anytime if we are not happy?

  •  Will my home be placed on your web site? If so, what is your web site address?

  •  How do you plan on marketing my home? Is this listed in the contract?

  •  Will you provide us with an activity report of the buyer's and agent's comments?

  •  What is your average market time vs. the MLS (Multiple Listing Service)?

  •  Can I call you at any time to get an update on the progress of my home?

  •  What professional designations do you have?

  •  Do you offer a guaranteed sale program? (This way I will not risk losing the new home I am purchasing.)

  •  Do you have a list of references that we may call?

  •  Why should I list with you rather than any other agent that is calling?
